Last weekend, Saturday, January 28th, we had a Twitter chat with Nollywood actor, Tope Tedela. Read the interview below.

Tell us sir, how is 2017 going for you?

2017 had been interesting so far with King Invincible showing in cinemas. The coming weeks look even more exciting.

That’s awesome… so what have you been up to recently?

I’m working on a couple of projects with some in post production.a and some warming up for release.

Oh! That is great! Tell us your story: how and when did acting begin for you?

I’ve loved acting since I was a child. Got some training here and there, began attending auditions

I see… What was your first lead role performance?

My role as Lala in Eric Aghimien’s A Mile from Home was my first performance in a leading role.

Did you always want to be an actor?

Yes. It was the only thing I saw myself doing. After trying out other things, I came back home.

Which character in a movie has been closest to the real you?

I’m still in the process of finding out the real me till today. I surprise myself sometimes too.

What did you find the most challenging about your role in King Invisible?

A couple factors; It was demanding physically…Also, shooting in a forest for a lot of the shoot took its toll.

And did you find it interesting?

it was tough but also interesting, an experience. It was the first time going into the ‘woods’ to make a movie.

What excites you about our work?

Being a vessel through which I can share, transmit, and create human experiences and feelings

What is your favourite movie of all time?

I have enjoyed and love many movies…it’s quite a tough call. There are quite a number of movies that have won me.

Do you have a dream role? If yes, what kind of role would that be?

The oceans are very deep and wide so are the depth of humanity. I’m open to roles as they come and surprises.
